Super Street/Import Tuner/Modified magazine’s Garage FR-S
What happens when you bring together three of the aftermarket industry’s hippest magazine titles to build an “ultimate FR-S”? Well, you get this: the wide-bodied, slammed, and very green Garage FR-S project car.
Built in one month by the editors with some help from key suppliers, the Garage FR-S is a true eye-catcher. Thank the Rocket Bunny aero kit, KW Suspension coilovers, and custom-spec BBS Motorsport wheels wrapped in Toyo Tires’ latest racing RS1 rubber for the coupe’s aggressive, track-ready looks. AP Racing brakes keep speed in check when time attack is on the day’s schedule while a full roll cage adds more rigidity and bumps up the safety factor. Recaro SPG seats and a Momo steering wheel replace their more civilized stock versions to complete this daily drivable track rat.
As it sits, the stock 200-horse 2.0-liter flat-four remains untouched, but don’t expect it to stay that way. According to Super Street editor-in-chief, Jonathan Wong, there are big plans for the little heart in the near future. “We can’t wait for track days,” he said.
Vortech Supercharged FR-S
Other than ensuring us that it worked, Vortech was tight-lipped about an estimated power output from its new V-3 H67C supercharger kit. That said, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that this blower pushes the Scion FR-S past the 300-hp mark. For its SEMA show car, Vortech partnered with Magnaflow exhaust, Rotiform wheels, KW Suspension, Baer Brakes, Toyo Tires, and Five: AD. Clean, simple, and more powerful – now that’s a good mix.

Song’s ride sports a Jon Sibal custom aero kit, Air Runner suspension, Vortech supercharger, SSR Wheels, Toyo Tires, Sparco, and Brembo. It goes as well as it shows. Not too shabby.
Evasive Motorsports FR-S
Take Mr. Song’s car a step further and you get the Super GT racing-inspired FR-S built by Evasive Motorsports. Simply put, it’s all custom, race-ready, and up for a long stint on any of the world’s premier circuits.
Extra power comes from a newly developed HKS Racing supercharger setup; it grips better thanks to Maxxis tires and KW Suspension; and stops quicker because of the sturdier Project Mu brakes. Inside is all business as well, with nothing but the latest in safety tech keeping its driver in one piece. Because racecar. Yup, that sums it up best.
